Bella Signature Design presents “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” through Feb. 17 at Bainbridge Performing Arts.

It’s the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes – a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time and where they learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $27 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $19 for students, youth, military and teachers, and may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206-842-8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Ave. North, Bainbridge Island.

BPA Box Office hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance.
