The Battle Point Astronomical Association presents the planetarium show “Constellation Lore: Tales of the Heart” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, professional astronomer Dave Fong will tell tales of love through myths of ancient Greek gods, heroes and creatures depicted in the constellations.
If the sky is clear, astronomers will be on hand with telescopes.
The program is free to members; $2 donation suggested for nonmembers, $5 for families.
The Battle Point Astronomical Association is a nonprofit amateur astronomy organization that operates the Edwin E. Ritchie Observatory and John H. Rudolph Planetarium in the Helix House at Battle Point Park.
