Library hosts Stafford’s 99th birthday celebration

William Stafford’s 99th birthday celebration is 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at the Bainbridge Public Library.

The annual community event honors the beloved Northwest poet and winner of the National Book Award.

The program will be moderated by David Hecker and include discussion of four of Stafford’s poems selected and read by John Davis, Nancy Rekow, Gayle Kaune and Peter Quinn.
