The Bainbridge Public Library will participate in the next First Friday Art Walk, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4.

A public reception to celebrate a new exhibit, “Wednesday Watercolor with Ruthie” is planned in the library’s meeting room. The library is at 1270 Madison Ave. N.

Exhibit viewers can meet the artists and enjoy refreshments. The group display by “Wednesday Watercolor” artists includes more than 20 artworks recalling their memories of painting on location and in Ruth Carr’s studio. Carr lost her courageous battle with cancer in October 2012.
