Professional wildlife artist and photographer Bart Rulon will lead the program 'The Year of the Snowy Owl' at the next meeting of Kitsap Audubon.

Guest speaker Bart Rulon will present the program “The Year of the Snowy Owl” at the next meeting of Kitsap Audubon at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 at the Poulsbo Library.

The winter of 2011-2012 was a tremendous eruption season for snowy owls in Washington. Rulon, a professional wildlife artist and photographer, has spent more than 200 hours photographing snowy owls this year at Boundry Bay, Canada, and Ocean Shores. His slideshow will highlight some of his favorite photographs during these trips. He will share stories about his experiences with the owls along with snowy owl facts.
