Artists' reception tonight at BPA
November 16, 2012 · Updated 10:31 AM
The Bainbridge Performing Arts Gallery presents “New Visions in Native American Art” in November.
The special collaborative show features two Native souls; “photo-graphics” by Angelynn and glass by Larry Ahvakana.
A reception for the artists will be held at 6:45 p.m. Friday Nov. 16 ahead of “Native American Flute and Storytelling” with renowned Seattle musician Gary Stroutsos.
Angelynn’s unique art expresses her love of her Kiowa heritage. “Photo-graphics” marries her skills in photography and paint.
Ahvakana (Inupiaq/Eskimo) is a world-renowned artist. His glass installations marry the influences of contemporary artists with his own ancestral traditions.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance. Admission is free.
