Museum opens for free first Thursday

The prize-winning Bainbridge Island Historical Museum is free on the first Thursday of each month.
The next free day is Nov. 1. Visit the newly opened exhibit “The Overland Westerners,” an epic 100-year-old road trip by the Bainbridge Beck brothers who traveled to all 48 state capitals by horseback. Also currently featured is “A Portrait of Manzanar” by world famous photographer Ansel Adams.
The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
