Author Kaya McLaren will visit Eagle Harbor Books to talk about her new book, “How I Came To Sparkle Again,” in early November.

McLaren is the author of two other novels, “Church of the Dog” and “On the Divinity of Second Chances.”

In “How I Came to Sparkle Again” (St. Martin’s Press), McLaren chronicles three people — jilted wife Jill Anthony, her old friend Lisa Carlucci, and 10-year-old Cassie Jones — and their journey from loss to love.

McLaren, a Snoqualmie Pass resident and elementary school teacher, is visiting Bainbridge Island on the last stop of a 23-city, seven-state book tour.

The reading and book signing is 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8.
