Historian speaks on life in the 1950s

“Life in the 1950s: The Making of Immortality” will be presented at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Bainbridge Public Library.

Henrietta Lacks died in 1951, literally a different era in American history. What was life like in the early 1950s? Historian Stephanie Lile provides important context for an understanding of Lack’s saga.
