First Sundays at the Commons presents the John Hansen and Alexey Nikolaev Jazz Quartet at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 at the Island Music Center.

Headed by jazz pianist John Hansen and “monster saxman” Alexey Nikolaev on the tenor saxophone, the quartet also includes Jon Hamar on bass and Adam Kessler on drums. This is a great opportunity to hear some of the most highly acclaimed musicians active in the Seattle jazz scene.

The concert will take place at the Island Music Center due to construction at the senior center. Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com.
