Senior book club to discuss ‘The Help’

The Bainbridge Island senior center book discussion at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 will be on “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett. Copies available at the Bainbridge Library.

In the early sixties of Jackson, Miss., with the Civil Rights Movement in full swing, three brave souls start a revolution of their own as they gather the stories of housekeepers and the families for whom they work.

The book talk is free and open to everyone and will be held at the Bainbridge Island senior center, now known as the Waterfront Park Community Center.
