Bainbridge's Grand Old Fourth includes a packed day of fun

The Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce has announced the schedule of events for the 45th edition of the island's Grand Old Fourth.

The celebration kicks of with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. in the parking lot at the Town & Country. Other events include an all-day street fair, a family fun run to benefit Bainbridge Youth Services, a classic car show and the "Best Small Town Parade in America."

The mile-long parade begins at 1 p.m.

The schedule is:

7 to 11 a.m.: Traditional Pancake Breakfast in the Town & Country parking lot.

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Street Fair in the Town & Country parking lot, Bjune and Brien streets and Waterfront Park. There will be arts and crafts, food, and information booths, pony rides, music and amusements.

9 a.m.: Bainbridge Youth Services Family Fun Run. (Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. at BPA.) The run begins at the corner of Winslow Way and Madison Avenue. Times: The one mile starts at 9 a.m.; the 5k starts at 9:15 a.m.; the Kids Dash is 10:30 a.m.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Antique and Classic Car Show in the parking lots behind Columbia and Chase banks, with DJ music.

11 a.m. to noon: Roving Reptiles. Greet a gator and pet a python at Waterfront Park.

11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Beer and Wine Garden at the corner of Bjune and Shannon. Beer and wine will be available for adults 21 and over. There will also be live music.

11 a..m. to 12:30 p.m.: Ranger & the Re-Arrangers, Gypsy jazz band performs on the stage in the Town & Country parking lot.

Noon to 1 p.m.: Home Town Band will play traditional John Philip Sousa-style music at Winslow Mall.

Noon: Alleyoop! Children’s entertainment and puppeteer presents a show on the Waterfront Park stage.

1 to 2:30 p.m.: Mile Long Parade along Madison Avenue and Winslow Way

3 to 4 p.m.: Alleyoop! Children’s entertainment and puppeteer presents a show on the Waterfront Park stage.

3 to 5 p.m.: Soul Siren will play rhythm-and-blues, soul and rock on the stage in the Town & Country parking lot.

Dusk: Fireworks over Eagle Harbor.
