‘Nutcracker’ fills BPA holiday calendar

Olympic Performance Group presents the 2011 Nutcracker with a masquerade ball, sword fights and a snowflake blizzard.

Every year, Olympic Performance Group creates a unique twist on the classic Nutcracker ballet.With fast hip-hop, graceful ballet, storytelling lyrical and powerful contemporary, it’s not your average Nutcracker.

The Nutcracker appears December 9-18, at Bainbridge Performing Arts. Performances are:

Fridays, Dec. 9 and 16, at 7 p.m.; Saturdays, Dec. 10 and 17, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sundays, Dec. 11 and 18, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are $28 for adults, and $24 for seniors, students, youth, military, and teachers, and may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 842-8569, or in person at the BPA Box Office hours from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance.
