Harry Potter party to benefit Bainbridge Island Child Care Centers

The Bainbridge Island Child Care Centers will host a “Harry Potter Premiere Party” at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Bainbridge Cinemas in the Pavilion, 403 Madison Ave.

The event includes a magic show, prizes, and awards for best costume. The highlight is the exclusive 12:01 a.m. movie premiere of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” based on J.K. Rowling’s seventh book and the last in the famed series. The two-part finale begins with the upcoming release Nov. 19. The second part will be released in April 2011.

Proceeds of the event benefit the Bainbrige Island Child Care Centers Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund provides low-income families with an affordable child care option at Bainbridge’s three Child Care Centers: The Children’s Center (ages 2-and-a-half through 6) at 502 Cave. Ave.; Big Kids (K-Grade 2) at 8533 Madison Ave., behind Ordway in the “Red Schoolhouse”; and Kids’ Club, 8533 Madison Ave. between Ordway and Big Kids, which offers before and after school care, summer camps.

Tickets for the Harry Potter Premiere party are $30; and $60 for special Golden Circle tickets. They are available at Bainbridge Cinemas.
