Twelve students of the Carden Country School on Bainbridge Island have returned from a unique trip that delved into our nation's past and present.
The seventh and eighth graders spent eleven days on the East coast, visiting a host of historic and institutional sites from Gettysburg to the White House.
The trip was financed on their own through various fund raising efforts in the community.
Ever eager to share their experience, they blogged live on their trip with their thoughts, photographs and little-known facts about our nation.
