Graduations and Honors | Bainbridge Island Review

Lindsay E. Mumm, Bainbridge High School class of 2004, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Willamette University on May 10 with a double major in Political Science and Spanish.

She was presented with awards for her outstanding service to the International Studies program and to the Greek system on campus. In September, Lindsay will leave for Washington, D.C. to complete a four-month internship in the office of Senator Gordon Smith of Oregon. In 2009 Lindsay will reside in Conception, Chile to serve a year-long term as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.


Danielle C. Orrey, of Bainbridge Island, received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Boston University in Boston, Mass.


Sabrina E. MacDuff and Brian J. Pinto, of Bainbridge Island, were recently named to the Dean’s List at Boston University for the spring semester.


Dana E. Cuykendall and Martha J. Van Gelder, of Bainbridge Island, each received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Ore.


Zena M. Hemmen, of Bainbridge Island, was named to teh spring term honor roll at Oregon State University.


Marvin Trahant, of Bainbridge Isalnd, received a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the 8th annual Scripps Howard Multicultural Journalism Workshop at the University of Idaho.

***Western Washington University student Peter Aussendorf, son of Paul and Priscilla Aussendorf of Bainbridge Island, received a $1,000 President’s Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.Sarah Scott, daughter of Lee and Jannie Scott of Bainbridge Island, received a $2,700 Herb and Beth Hearsey Scholarship Endowment for the 2008-2009 academic year.


Michael Robert Hope, of Bainbridge Island, was named to the spring 2008 Dean’s List at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.


Marc Bernard Anderson, of Bainbridge Island, made the 2008 spring semester Dean’s List at the University of Delaware. Anderson, a junior, is majoring in visual communication.


Lisa Berry, of Bainbridge Island, received a $5,000 scholarship by Royal Neighbors of America. She plans to attend Seattle Central Community College in Seattle, where she will pursue a career in graphic design.


Bryce Tedford, of Bainbridge Island, was named to the spring 2008 Dean’s List at Eastern Oregon University.


Kerry Rose Hillier and Benjamin Warren Hudgens, both of Bainbridge Island, were among the 899 undergraduate students named to the Gonzaga Univesity President’s List for spring semester 2008.


Elizabeth Inger Allen, of Bainbridge Island, made the Dean’s List for spring semester 2008 at the University of Montana – Western.


Anna Sperling and Eric Smith, both of Bainbridge Island, graduated from St. Olaf College on May 25.
