Speaker shares biodiversity hotspots at next Kitsap Audubon meeting

The Kitsap Audubon Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at the Poulsbo Library.

Peter Morrison, a conservation biologist and executive director of Pacific Biodiversity Institute Program, presents “Exploring Bird & Biodiversity Hotspots in South America.”

South America is where biodiversity finds its greatest expression and has often been called “the bird continent.” The audience will go on a virtual expedition through some of the most amazing biodiversity

hotspots and wild lands on earth. Through short videos, maps and photos the audience will get a glimpse of the incredible bird life and the tremendous biodiversity of some of the relatively unknown parts of South America.
