BURLEY — A fundraiser on New Year's Eve will benefit the Bremerton man injured in a DUI crash on Highway 305 earlier in December.

The event is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. at the Burley Community Club, 14853 Burley Ave. Money and food donations for Allan Wodenscheck will be accepted.

Wodenscheck was in serious condition after a Poulsbo driver allegedly crashed head on into Wodenscheck's car on Highway 305, near Suquamish Way. The driver was charged with DUI.

Wodenscheck was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, where he spent days in the intensive care unit. Wodenscheck had a broken leg, shattered femur, broken ankle, and broken collar bone, according to his mother, Shelly.

Wodenscheck, 24, is expected make a complete or close-to-complete recovery, according to Shelly. His medical bill is expected to be high.

The fundraiser is an all-ages party. It will include dancing and dance instruction. Guests are asked to bring snack, or anything else they might want to share. Drinks, paper plates, and utensils will be provided. It is a non-alcoholic event.
