A Best for the World coffee company with roots on Bainbridge?

When Kelsey Marshall, President of Grounds For Change coffee company addresses the Friday, Oct. 11 BASE (Building A Sustainable Economy) meeting at Bainbridge Public Library, he’ll reflect on the company’s Bainbridge beginnings.

“We started on the island, live on the island, serve the island, and hope to contribute to local, sustainability efforts on the island,” Marshall points out.

Now in Poulsbo, the company has since earned certification of the highest environmental and social standards and a ranking as one of the best social entrepreneurs in the world.

Hear how this came about as Kelsey Marshall kicks off the new season of BASE talks at the library, 1270 Madison Ave. N. The talk starts at 5:30 p.m; a reception will follow.

RSVP free at www.bi-business.eventbrite.com. Remaining seats will be first-come, first-serve at the door.

The BASE lecture series is sponsored by Bainbridge Graduate Institute, Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce, Sustainable Bainbridge and Bainbridge Public Library.
