Bainbridge Graduations and Honors

The following Bainbridge Island residents graduated from the University of Washington on June 14: Elizabeth Katherine Anderson, Gary Edward Anderson, Natalie Teresa Berry, Ryan Matthew Carson, Calvin Anthony Chin, Gabriel Capen Chrisman, Meghan Elizabeth Crane, Kylie Nicole Dardis, Timothy Craig Freeman, Henry Tobias Guterson, Matthew Donovan Lennert, Siri Elizabeth Linz, Christian Anthony Lucier, Peter Michael Mandell, Lucy Ann Martin, Jimmy Huy Nguyen, Nicolle Anne Perisho, Allana Emi Pritchard, Ian Lewis Thornton Reinert, Jamie Marie Sanders, Helen Alexandra Speidel, Stuart Judson Stringer, Joseph Von Tarbill, Kara May Vandagriff and Mark Thomas Wetzler.

Sara Robinson, BHS 2004, graduated from Colorado College on May 19 with distinction in biology.

The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island recently awarded scholarships to the following area high school seniors: Natasha Hjerrild, Electra Magnuson, Brooke Shorett, Jilli O’Mara, Win Williams, Shannon Cosgrove, Wes Saunders, Spencer Coplan and Maggie Pool.

Kylie Izzie, of Bainbridge Island, was selected for inclusion in the 2008 “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.” Izzie graduated from Rocky Mountain college in Billings, Mont. in May.

Colleen I. Carroll, of Bainbridge Island, was awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship this spring.

Bryce Tedford, of Bainbridge Island, was named to the winter term Dean’s List at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Ore.

Janessa Graves recently graduated with a masters degree in public health from the University of Washington and was the recipeint of the prestigious Gilbert S. Omenn Award for Academic Excellence.

Anna Sperling, of Bainbridge Island, was among more than 1,500 St. Olaf College students recognized for academic achievement at St. Olaf College’s Honors Day convocation on May 2.
