Eye expert speaks at upcoming program

The Bainbridge Public Library hosts the program “Four Common Causes of Blindness: The Modern Medicine of Vision” at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24.

Diseases of the eye degrade the quality of life for millions of people worldwide. Join Dr. Van Gelder as he talks about the four most common causes of vision loss in this country (cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy), new treatments that are available today and the ground-breaking research taking place at the University of Washington’s Medicine Eye Institute.
