Help needed at tree farm clean-up

November 9, 2012 · 9:54 AM

Friends of the Farms and the Kitsap Conservation District will join for a work party to clear and chip old, weak and diseased Douglas fir trees and take out invasive species this Saturday at the M & E Tree Farm.

The event will enable Friends of the Farms to prepare for Christmas tree sales that will begin Nov. 23.

The work party is 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.

Volunteers should wear sturdy boots and bring gloves and saws.  There will be a complimentary catered lunch at noon. Contact Bart at bartonbainbridge@gmail.com or call 206-842-7547 to help.

M & E Tree Farm is located at the north end of Charles Place, off of Lovgreen Road, east of Highway 305.
