Bainbridge grad earns law degree, passes the bar

Gwendolyn (Wendy) Tawresey will be admitted to the Virginia Bar, having passed the July 2012 bar exam.

The new attorney is a 2005 graduate of Bainbridge High School. She earned her bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering from the George Wash-ington University and her juris doctor degree from the George Washington University Law School.

Tawresey was a winner in the Giles Sutherland Rich Intellectual Property Law Moot Court Competition Finals, and was also named Best Overall Competitor in the intellectual property moot court competition.

She will be practicing intellectual property litigation with the law firm of Pepper Hamilton in Washington, D.C.
