Chinese foreign exchange students from the Chengdu Longjiang Road Primary School were given a big welcome party to Bainbridge Island after their arrival earlier this month.

Ten students met with their excited host families during the party on Friday, Oct. 12.

The welcome party was sponsored by the Northwest International Student Exchange at the home of Sam Ramirez and Jiang Ping (upper right). The 10-year-olds will be immersed in classes at Sakai Intermediate School for three weeks until Nov. 1. If you see them around town, be sure to give them a big Bainbridge Island Halloween welcome.
