The 2012 Bainbridge Bluegrass Festival presented donations to two important island nonprofit organizations following the completion of this year’s successful event.
More than $6,000 in proceeds from the festival were presented to the Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation and West Sound Wildlife Shelter.
The Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation operates a day program for young adults with developmental disabilities on Winslow Way and provides activities that increase physical health, mental well-being and social interaction.
Festival organizers thank everyone who attended the event and supported the organizations.
The Bainbridge Bluegrass Festival will return next year on Saturday, July 27 at Battle Point Park.
