The Island School will be holding a book fair at Eagle Harbor Book Company this week that features four local dignitaries.

Nancy Leedy, co-founder of The Island School, will be on hand to read some of her favorite books for children at the event on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Kathy Dunn, retired teacher from both Wilkes Elementary and The Island School, will read aloud as well. The school’s librarian and Island Treasure George Shannon will be on hand, and Pierr Morgan, children’s book illustrator, will demonstrate a nearly magical illustration technique.

All purchases made between 50 and 7 p.m. on Sept. 26 will result in a 20 percent contribution to The Island School.

Eagle Harbor Book Company is at 157 Winslow Way E.
