O’Mara graduates with distinction

Jillian R. O’Mara of Bainbridge Island graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts in biology and French from Bucknell University on May 20, 2012.

She is the daughter of Timothy and Laura O’Mara and a 2008 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

A member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society, O’Mara received the Samuel Lewis Ziegler Prize for excellence in French conversation;  the Alvin F. Jackson Jr. ‘59 Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award for excellence in scholarship and athletics; and the John T. Lowry Jr. Prize for outstanding graduate in biology.
