Professor gives talk on 'Prentice Bloedel’s Quest'

Sally Schauman, professor emeritus of landscape architecture at the University of Washington and former Bloedel Reserve Trustee, will give the talk “Prentice Bloedel’s Quest” at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 5.

Schauman will talk about Prentice Bloedel’s motivation and inspiration for the gardens at Bloedel Reserve. Schauman, who is now professor of landscape architecture at Duke University, was personally acquainted with Bloedel during her tenure on the reserve’s board and as the first woman to head the landscape architecture department at the University of Washington.

The cost is $10 for Bloedel Reserve members, $15 for non-members.
