Shir Hayam Jewish Community plans potluck

The Shir Hayam Jewish Community of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap will hold its monthly Shabbat potluck, with guest leader Arik Labowitz, at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 11.

In the Chavurah tradition, members will often meet in the warmth of members’ homes rather than a synagogue, and participate in leading Jewish rituals along with visiting/guest rabbis and teachers.
