Book club talks about 'The Help'

May 4, 2012 · 9:05 AM

The next book club meeting for the Bainbridge Island Visually Impaired Persons Support Group is from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 4 at the Bainbridge Public Library.

Readers will talk about "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett.

In the early ’60s of Jackson, Miss., with the Civil Rights Movement in full swing, three brave souls start a revolution of their own as they gather the stories of housekeepers and the families for whom they work.

The group uses audio books from the Washington Talking Books and Braille Library.

For more information about the group or to learn about the current book for discussion, contact Linda Poh at 206-201-3080.
