Help needed at Earth Day park project

March 31, 2012 · Updated 3:04 PM

“Protecting the Ground We’ve Gained” is the Weed Warriors/Bainbridge Island Parks theme for the Earth Day native plant restoration at Pritchard Park.

Weed Warriors said that after nine tough years, many areas are cleared and replanted, particularly in the area of the Japanese American Exclusion Memorial.

The restoration project is from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the park. Volunteers will meet at the Pavilion near the garden for instructions and tools.
