Donations needed to furnish home for Bainbridge farming interns

March 31, 2012 · 10:26 AM

Friends of the Farms is searching for donations of new or quality items that can be used to furnish the recently renovated Morales farmhouse.

The three-bedroom house will become home to farm interns working on the island. Three interns will live in the house while farming and giving four hours of community service per month.

Friends of the Farms said the house still needs bedroom carpets, dressers, bedding, lamps, window shades, a coffee pot, dinnerware, a set of knives, a weed whacker, hoses, rakes, pruners, hoes, shovels, a lawn mower and a wheelbarrow.

To offer additional items, contact Wendy Tyner at wendy.tyner@friendsofthefarms.org or call 206-842-5537.
