New owner takes over Silver Screen Video

Silver Screen Video may be one of the last of its kind in Kitsap County, but it’s not going anywhere. The video and DVD rental store will carry on under new owner and movie enthusiast, Colin Randall.

J’Aime les Crepes, the Kingston-based creperie which opened a second location earlier this year on Madrone Lane, was awarded second place in this year’s KING5 Evening Magazine’s “Best of Western Washington.”

Union Bank's Kitsap branches among 20 to close in Washington

Union Bank has announced that it is closing its Kitsap and North Olympic Peninsula branches as part of a move to shut 20 locations in the state. The bank will close its Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Sequim and Poulsbo branches Feb. 20, followed on Feb. 27 by closures of branches in Bremerton, Silverdale and Gig Harbor, according to Union Bank spokesman Alan Gulick.
