Adam Wheeler has become a partner in Browne Wheeler Engineers, Inc. of Bainbridge Island.

Wheeler has been a key manager at the company, formerly Browne Engineering, Inc., since 2001.

“Adam is an innovative engineer who has become the face of Browne Wheeler Engineers to many of our clients. I look forward to working together in the future as partners,” said David Browne.

The firm specializes in planning and design of site development, roads, water and sewer utilities, and storm drainage systems. The engineering company has served the Puget Sound area since its formation by Browne in 1988, and has designed site work and utilities for many of the larger developments on Bainbridge Island, including the recently completed Ferncliff Village, St. Cecilia Parish Faith Center, Island Gateway and Bainbridge Island Museum of Art project, Islandwood School and the Vineyard Lane project.

The firm has also provided design and planning services to the city of Bainbridge Island, the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District, and numerous water companies throughout Kitsap County.

Wheeler graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1992 and received his degree in civil engineering from the University of Washington in 1999.

He joined Browne Engineering after two years with a Seattle design firm. Wheeler received his professional civil engineer’s license in 2004.

In his time with the firm, he has managed and completed civil engineering design of projects of all sizes, from single-family residences to large mixed-use developments.

“We all feel very lucky here to be involved with this business and to be given the chance to work with so many good people and to make a positive impact on our community,” Wheeler said.  “We work very hard to make our clients successful and we care very much about how our work impacts the environment.”

Browne Wheeler Engineers, Inc. has prepared stormwater drainage plans for hundreds of single-family residences in the Puget Sound area, and specializes in implementing low impact development measures to manage stormwater runoff to reduce costs and environmental impacts of development projects.
