Lecture focuses on sustainability

The Bainbridge Lecture Series welcomes Adam Siegel as the guest speaker for BASE — “Building A Sustainable Economy.”

Seigel is the vice president of sustainability and retail operations at the Retail Industry Leader’s Association.

The association recently published an industry-wide sustainability report that details the retail industry’s environmental, social and community impacts.

Seigel will focus on sustainability trends and practices from the study that are relevant to local Bainbridge businesses.

The talk is 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 11 in the auditorium at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art,

100 Ravine Lane.

The event is hosted by the Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce, Bainbridge Graduate Institute, Sustainable Bainbridge and the Bainbridge Public Library.

Admission is $10; RSVP to bainbridgechamber.com as tickets will not be available at the door.
