Dana's Showhouse wins best window display award
October 25, 2010 · 11:12 AM
Dana's Showhouse won the September award for the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association best downtown window display. This month Dana's windows feature dancing skeletons, monster toes and festive orange and black decorations.
Originally located on Ericksen Avenue, islander and interior designer Dana Berg opened Dana's in 1976 inside an old house. The store later moved to a space in Winslow Mall where Dana joined forces with now-owner, Terri Bryant. The two kept a large card selection along with the furniture, gifts and items created by local artists. In 2006, Dana’s officially changed hands as Terri Bryant and new partner Mary Terry took ownership and moved the store to its current location on Winslow Way.
The BIDA design committee selects a best window display winner each month based on creativity, color, originality and display. Each January the committee will choose an annual "Best of the Year" from the previous year's winners.
